What Makes Our Furniture Different

  • Custom Designs

Whether you see a past design you like, or have an entirely original vision, we are dedicated towards making you furniture that is truly one-of-a-kind. We take inspiration from many paths: Shaker furniture, Danish midcentury, Japanese minimalist (to name a few!), and meticulously design all of our pieces from scratch to fit our clients’ aesthetic and space.

We specialize in all free-standing home furniture, including dining tables, desks, nighstands, coffee tables, benches, reclined chairs, bookcases (and much much more!).

You can learn more about what to expect when working with us on the Design + Build Process Page.

  • High Quality Hardwoods

We believe the foundation of any fine piece of furniture is sourcing high-quality hardwoods (none of that veneered plywood crap!). For every project, we hand-pick rough sawn lumber from reputable local suppliers and mill it ourselves to exactly the project specifications.

Clients can pick from any number of hardwoods for their project, including (but not limited to) White Oak, Black Walnut, Cherry, Ash, and Mahogany. We are happy to guide you towards finding a wood species that matches and compliments your space.

  • Built for a Lifetime

There is a reason antique 18th and 19th Century furniture can still be found today: its construction. We take pride in using many of the same proven building techniques, such as dovetails and mortise & tenon joinery, that allow for wood’s natural seasonal movement without compromising its stability.

Additionally, we construct and finish all of our pieces to be durable, but also maintainable. Unlike industrial furniture, our pieces can be easily maintained and repaired should disaster strike.

We take intense pride in making furniture that looks and feels hand-made, because we know how special it can be in the home.
