WELCOME TO

Turkey Tail Design + Woodcraft,

I’m Dylan Josephs, founder of Turkey Tail Design + Woodcraft. My woodworking journey began while converting an empty van into a camper so my partner, dog, and I could explore National Parks. What started as a simple project quickly grew into a passion for designing and crafting all kinds of furniture by hand. That passion led me to the Furniture Making Intensive at the North Bennett Street School in Boston—and I’ve been building ever since.

At Turkey Tail Design + Woodcraft, my mission is to create functional, handcrafted hardwood furniture designed to fit your space and style. From centerpiece dining tables to playful nightstands, every piece is built with care to be both beautiful and lasting.

Each project celebrates the color and vibrance of real wood—something mass-produced furniture can’t match. I offer a range of premium hardwoods and custom sizes so your piece feels truly your own.

Thanks for visiting, and I look forward to bringing your vision to life.

Inspired By The Enduring Beauty Of Nature

“The name Turkey Tail Design + Woodcraft is inspired by one of my favorite forest finds—the Turkey Tail Mushroom. I often encounter these unique fungi on fallen trees and stumps during my outdoor adventures. Just as these mushrooms are a natural part of the forest ecosystem, my furniture celebrates the natural world and my humble relation to it. I believe that handmade furniture is a meaningful way to connect with nature and experience its splendor within the home.”
