About the piece:

The Sauna Step was built to provide access to the mobile Schvitzy Sauna that you will see roaming Marthas Vineyard in the early morning and late evenings. Inspired by the Finnish sauna aesthetic, we chose a Scandanavian minimalist design with some subtle and playful curves aimed to match the social nature of sauna culture. Sapele was chosen for this piece both for its material warmth (which can only be matched by a 160+ degree sauna), as well as its durability in the wet, sandy environments the Schvitzy Sauna is known to explore.
